Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles - RENFE

La Caldes es la locomotora de vapor más antigua fabricada en España que aún se conserva. Junto a su hermana la 0232 fue una de las primeras locomotoras no importadas, construidas por la Maquinista Terrestre y Marítima para el ferrocarril de Barcelona a Sarriá. Cuando la Compañía de los Ferrocarriles de Cataluña aquirió, electrificó y estrechó la línea, las dos locomotoras se vendieron a la Compañía de Ferrocarril de Mollet a Caldesde Montbui, donde recebieron los números 5 y 6. A ellas se uniría posteriormente una tercera locomotora, la 7. Las tres llegaron a RENFE, que las uitlizó como locomotoras de maniobra. La Caldes terminó su servicio en los años sesenta en el depósito barcelonés de Pueblo Nuevo.

Rail Transport in Australia - wikipedia
The first railways in Australia were built by private companies, based in the then colonies of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The first line opened was in South Australia in 1854, a horse-drawn line from Goolwa to Port Elliot. The first steam-powered line opened in South Australia in 1856. The government run railway line, ran from Adelaide CBD to Port Adelaide. It consisted of 5 stations (in station order), Adelaide, Bowden, Woodville, Alberton and Port Adelaide (later renamed to Port Dock).
In these early years there was very little thought of national interests in developing the colony-based networks. The most obvious issue to arise was determining a uniform gauge for the continent. Despite advice from London to adopt a uniform gauge, should the lines of the various colonies ever meet, gauges were adopted in different colonies, and indeed within colonies, without reference to those of other colonies. This example has caused problems ever since at the national level.
In the 1890s, the establishment of an Australian Federation from the six colonies was debated. One of the points of discussion was the extent that railways would be a federal responsibility. A vote to make it so was lost narrowly, instead the new constitution allows "the acquisition, with the consent of a State, of any railways of the State on terms arranged between the Commonwealth and the State" (Section 51 xxxiii) and "railway construction and extension in any State with the consent of that State" (Section 51 xxxiv). However, the Australian Government is free to provide funding to the states for rail upgrading projects under Section 96 ("the Parliament may grant financial assistance to any State on such terms and conditions as the Parliament thinks fit").
Suburban electrification began in Melbourne in 1919 (1500 V DC). Sydney's lines were electrified from 1926 (1500V DC), Brisbane's from 1979 (25 kV AC), and Perth's from 1992 (25 kV AC). Mainline electrification was first carried out in Victoria in 1954, closely followed by New South Wales which continued to expand their network. These networks have fallen into decline, in contrast to Queensland where 25 kV AC equipment was introduced from the 1980s for coal traffic.

Für 2010 ist ein erneuter Umzug in einen geplanten Neubau neben dem Berliner Hauptbahnhof vorgesehen.[6] Die Konzernentwicklung und andere zentrale Abteilungen sind weiterhin in Frankfurt ansässig. Das Grundkapital des Unternehmens beträgt 2,15 Milliarden Euro und ist in 430 Millionen auf Inhaber lautende, nennwertlose Stückaktien eingeteilt. Die Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist Inhaberin aller Anteile. Da der Bund alle Anteile beibehält und kein Handel damit stattfindet, handelt es sich aufgrund der Eigentümerstruktur um ein privatrechtlich organisiertes Staatsunternehmen. Im Jahr 2006 hat das Unternehmen einen Gewinn von 1,68 Milliarden Euro erzielt[8]. Das Unternehmen erwirtschaftet einen Teil seines Umsatzes über Verkehrsverträge mit der öffentlichen Hand; bezuschusst wird ebenfalls Unterhalt und Ausbau der Infrastruktur.

La Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles (Renfe) es un organismo paraestatal español de transporte ferroviario existente como tal entre 1941 y 2004. En 2005 se dividió en ADIF, ente gestor de las infraestructuras ferroviarias españolas, y Renfe Operadora, compañía que se quedó con la explotación de los ferrocarriles. Fue fundada el 24 de enero de 1941 a raíz de la nacionalización de diversas compañías ferroviarias españolas, entre las que destacaban la Compañía de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España (1858–1941), la Compañía de los Ferrocarriles de Madrid a Zaragoza y Alicante, M.Z.A, (1856–1941) y la Compañía del Oeste y la Ferrocarriles Andaluces, ya bajo tutela estatal, desde 1928 y 1936, respectivamente. El objeto de la creación de Renfe fue rehabilitar la red ferroviaria española, gravemente dañada como consecuencia de la Guerra Civil, ante la situación de quiebra económica de las empresas ferroviarias que hasta entonces habían explotado la red. Renfe ha explotado la red ferroviaria española desde su creación en régimen de monopolio hasta el día 31 de diciembre de 2004. A partir de la década de los 1970 y principalmente en la de los 1980, Renfe se empezó a regir por una política de rentabilidad económica, por lo que todas aquellas líneas que no eran rentables fueron cerrándose al tráfico progresivamente. El 1 de enero de 1985 se cerraron más de 900 km de vías y líneas. Sirvan como ejemplo el Santander-Mediterráneo, Andalucía–Levante (ferrocarril del Almanzora), el Valladolid–Ariza, la Vía de la Plata, etc.

N.V. Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) is het nationale spoorwegbedrijf van Nederland. SNTF (in French - Societé Nationale des Transports Ferrovaires, i.e. National company for rail transport) is Algeria's national railway operator. The SNTF, a state-owned company,[1] currently has a monopoly over Algeria's network of 3,973 km (2,469 mi), even though it is currently exploiting only 3,572 km (2,220 mi). Out of the total railway network, 2,888 km (1,795 mi) are 1,435 mm (4 ft 8½ in) standard gauge (283 km/176 mi of these are electrified) and 1,085 km (674 mi) are 1,055 mm (3 ft 5½ in) narrow gauge (as of 2002)
الالشركة الوطنية للنقل بالسّكك الحديدية اختصارا (SNTF) هي مسيرة لـ 4200 كم من السكك الحديدية المتصلة بالعاصمة و كبرى المدن ، ذات الفاعلية المحدودة. توجد حاليا 300 كم سكة عريضة ، للشحن بين المناجم و عنابة ، كلها مكهربة. شبكة السكك موصولة بالشبكتين التونسية و المغربية ، في التسعينات و بسبب الأزمة الإقتصادية و أعمال الإرهاب تقلص عدد مستعملي القطار كما تقلصت حمولة البضائع المشحونة بالسكك [1]. خصصت الدولة 5.5 مليار أورو لتطوير و تحديث القطاع، فقبل نهاية 2010 خطوط جديدة ستدخل الخدمة إضافة إلي كهربة كل الشبكة الشمالية، الهدف هو مضاعفة عدد المسافرين السنوي إلى حدود 80 مليون مسافر سنويا و تخفيف الضغط على شبكة الطرقات. اقتنت الشركة في نهاية 2007، 30 عربة جر من جنرال موتورز ، كما سيدخل ميترو الجزائر الخدمة بـ14 قاطرة مكهربة ليسمح بنقل 41.000 مسافر بالساعة في نهاية 2008.

The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens (English: Tunisian Railways; v.i.), abbreviated SNCFT, is the national railway of Tunisia and under the direction of the Ministry of Transport. SNCFT was founded on December 27, 1956. Headquartered in Tunis the company employs about 6000 people. SNCFT provides both passenger and freight services at a national level.
La Société nationale des chemins de fer tunisiens (SNCFT) (الشركة الوطنية للسكك الحديدية التونسية) est une entreprise publique chargée de la gestion, de l'entretien et de l'exploitation du réseau ferroviaire tunisien. Cette entreprise ferroviaire, placée sous tutelle du ministère des transports, gère un réseau de 23 lignes d'une longueur totale de 2 153 kilomètres et 200 gares et transporte aussi bien des voyageurs (grandes lignes et banlieues) que des marchandises (aux trois-quarts des phosphates). En 2005, elle transporte 36 790 000 voyageurs et achemine 10 800 000 tonnes de fret.
ترجع جذور الشركة إلى إنشاء خط تونس - حلق الوادي عام 1872. ثم فيما بين عامي 1878 و1916 تم تشغيل عدة خطوط في الشمال من أبرزها خط حمام الأنف وخط تونس - غار الدماء. أما في الجنوب فقامت الشركة الفرنسية للفسفاط وشركة السكة الحديدية صفـاقس ـ قفصة ابتداء من عام 1885 بإنشاء خط صفاقس - قفصة ـ المتلوي ـ المظيلة ـ تابديت ـ الرديف ـ أم العرايس بغرض نقل الفسفاط. وبعد الاستقلال تأسست الشركة الوطنية للسكك الحديدية التونسية بمقتضى أمر صـدر في 27 ديسمبـر 1956 لتتسلم الخطوط الشمالية، ولم تتسلم الخطوط الجنوبية من شركة فسفاط قفصة إلا في 31 ديسمبر 1966.

-SJ skapades 1856 då de första stambanorna i landet öppnades. Därefter inleddes en närmast explosionsartad utveckling då företaget organiserade banvakter längs med banorna, inrättade tjänstebostäder åt alla banvakter och åt stationspersonalen, skapade arkitektavdelningar som bestämde stationsutformningar, bestämde hur det fick se ut på banan och på stationsområdena. Exempelvis hade man fram till 1973 en egen trädgårdsavdelning som sysslade med att dekorera stationsrabatterna med växlighet. -Sveriges järnvägsnät har byggts ut sedan mitten av 1800-talet och var som störst före andra världskriget, över 16 000 km, omfattar i början av 2000-talet ca 12 000 km järnväg, varav 9 400 km är elektrifierad. Denna längduppgift omfattar linjenätet, den totala mängden inkl bangårdsspår och andra kapillära spår är betydligt större. En uppskattning gjord i början av 2009 visar på att det finns ca 18 230 km tillståndspliktiga järnvägspår i Sverige. Av dessa är 14 475 km (källa BV/BIS) Banverkets, 11 900 km (källa BV hemsida) BV linjenätet, övriga 2 575 km torde omfatta BV bangårdar och BV kapillära spår. Övriga spårinnehavare omfattar 3 755 km (källa Transportstyrelsen) järnvägspår. I dessa ingår Inlandsbanan, Arlandabanan, Öresundsförbindelsen, museijärnvägar och industrispår.
